Josh

Josh started with Nova’s transition to Work program in 2005. While undertaking the program, Josh learnt a lot of important skills about working and about his own skills. He did some work experience at Target, at their back dock, he enjoyed that experience.

The middle of 2006, Josh was employed by BC Sands, as a general hand. His duties involved him bagging materials, sewing the bags together and loading the pallets. He worked there for 3 months. After his time with BC Sands, he came back to Nova’s Transition to Work program and started jobseeking with his new employment consultant, Julie.

Julie has worked very hard in jobseeking for Josh and on the 2nd of July 2007, he started his first day of work at Harvey Norman. Josh is working in the back dock. When you ask Josh what he loves about his job, he replies that he most enjoys his working relationship with his boss. It has been a wonderful experience to watch Josh grow and gain more confidence in the workplace.
